Do you have to 'ground' or 'integrate' your RF films with other shielding for it to work?

The SD film is not to be ‘grounded’ or integrated into the other shielding. The film acts as a reflector more than an absorber…or a mirror for RF and IR, rather than taking it to ground. Although there’s an inherent small gap at the film edge and frame, further grounding or integration of the film into other shielding components is not required for general RF attenuation.
