Signals Defense's SD2500 RF Window film has been ASTM F3057-16 tested and exceeds Department of Defense requirements for RF attenuation. When considering IR and RF window film for your project, it is highly recommended that an appropriate test is considered for your security, a simple self-selected 6 frequency performance test, i.e. IEEE 299 test is not sufficient to understand the full attenuation capability of a material. Infrared attenuation is also critical for full anti-eavesdropping purposes. IR protection is a key component for defeating electronic espionage. Many "new" repurposed products today that have some limited protection against RF but have no or very little IR protection. From a TSCM (Technical Surveillance Counter-Measure) perspective, SD Films are the least expensive method to mitigate the largest amount of eavesdropping and espionage threats.
